Thanks for reading.Description Slik Pro 700DX 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head Tripod Slik.you need to enter the 21st century with a compatible ball head, pistol grip system. This is a very good value heavy duty set up. Slik, please annodise the next version or upgraded version, green gold or blue.but not black. It looks like a machine support post, with that in mind, I have lightened my own copy up a bit with blue, white and yellow PVC tape. Put a heavy duty ball head or a Vanguard trigger 300 Ball head on this beast and you have a set up that has got to be the best bang for the buck ever. The only thing, and I mean the only thing that lets this heavy beast down is the primitive pan head assembly. You can hang a d 810 wi th battery pack and a Nikon 200 500 of the head with absolutely no problems, although I use a gimbal head in this configuration. I own four other tripods, all of which have their own purpose in my photographic life but this one is the King. This tripod will last you a lifetime and is excellent value for money. The pan head is primitive by todays standards but fitted with the Vanguard 300 Ball head the whole assembly is a different game. It is not really a travelling option due to its weight and bulk, and the pan head is most suitable for studio or location work, and is old fashioned and clumbersome. The tripod assembly itself is more or less in beatable (in my view) and the engineering is excellent. Over the last 10 years I have owned two of these and they have given excellent service. It is a very heavy sturdy and well made tripod. The Slik 700 DX with Pan head is a fantastic tripod.
